Another highly anticipated checkbox has been ticked off the list.
After what felt like eons of waiting, SpaceX has finally been granted the launch license to launch the Starship-Superheavy vehicle from Starbase, Texas. The launch license was issued at 4:50pm CST and is valid for 5 years. This announcement comes shortly after SpaceX tweeted out more information about the potential timeline for the orbital flight test. Assuming no delays, a launch has a high likelihood of being attempted on Monday, April 17th.
The launch license is not posted on the website yet, however the FAA posted a statement giving SpaceX approval to launch. a full list of currently valid launch licenses can be found here.

A temporary flight restriction (TFR) has also been issued for the Brownsville area, beginning and ending on the 17th of April. As is the nature of highly experimental launches such as this, expect this date to be adjusted repeatedly as we get closer to launch.
After years of testing and anticipation, an orbital flight test of the Starship rocket may be right around the corner. Stay tuned for any updates and news regarding this highly anticipated launch; it’s bound to be interesting.
